I’m Cloppy, born and raised in Rome — land of espresso, chaos, and hand gestures that deserve their own language. When I was little, I dreamed of buying a campervan and traveling the world. Thirty-something (let’s not count too closely, ok?) years later, I’m still chasing that dream — exploring life, languages, and the occasional new gelato flavor along the way. 🍦
I graduated in Languages and taught Italian to foreign students both online and in-person for many years.
At Spaghetti Italian, I teach dynamic online Italian classes where speaking starts from day one. My secret sauce? My Spaghetti Flow Method, personally "crafted" by me. It is a joyful blend of observing, listening, speaking and lots of laughter. It is TPRS and Comprehensible Input together. It is powerful. It is how kids acquire languages.
No boring grammar drills — just real, interactive conversations that make you feel like you’re already in Italy (minus the jet lag). ✈️
When I’m not teaching, I eat sugar and I write blog posts about everything Italian — from language tips to cultural quirks, all seasoned with a sprinkle of Roman humor. Because learning Italian should feel like living it! 💬❤️

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
All you need to know about Italian language classes with me!
🕣What times can I have classes?
My working hours are 7pm-midnight New York time, Monday to Friday. When you book a class, the available time slots will be automatically shown in your time zone on Calendly. You can choose any free time slot that you see on the calendar 😊
📅Can I change time/date of a class?
Yes, you can do it up to 12 hours before the class start time. After that, the class will be considered lost. I will wait for you in the virtual classroom for 15 minutes.
⏰What if I am late/I do not show up?
If you don’t show up for the lesson and you haven’t cancelled it at least 12 hours in advance, the session will be marked as missed (the teacher will remain online waiting for you for a total of 15 minutes). If you join late, the lesson will still end at the agreed time: any lost minutes cannot be made up unless the teacher happens to have extra availability — which cannot be guaranteed. For this reason, we recommend logging in on time 😊
📚Do I need to purchase
any learning materials?
No, all the necessary learning materials will be provided by me! 😉
💸How can I pay?
At the moment I only accept PayPal payments. Right after booking the class on the Calendly page, I will send you an email with instructions on how to pay through PayPal. The class will only take place after the payment will have been successfully made to my PayPal account.
🗺️Where can I have classes?
You can have classes either on Google Meet or Zoom!
